Married for over 37 years with two adult children and four grandchildren, John and Karen Louis served in full-time Christian ministry around Southeast Asia for over three decades. During that time, in order to help their churches and serve the community, John became a Schema Therapist, completing his PhD in the UK (Clinical Psychology), and Karen a Solution Focused Therapist. With Karen being a native West Texan married to a Malaysian, they have been able to help married couples from many parts of the world. Their marriage program “I Choose Us” draws from the Scriptures, credible research, and the Louis’ life experiences to build a strong case for the importance of having a healthy, vibrant marriage, as well as repairing and practicing forgiveness. It takes readers through the different phases of marriage and gives practical, biblical advice about how to meet each other’s need for Love and Respect.
